Beacon Greeting Card

$5.00

One morning, I had to get to work earlier than usual. Being winter, it was very dark on my drive there. I sat in my car for a bit as it started to get lighter and as I got out to walk into the building, I happened to turn around and see the most fantastic sight. A pillar of light, from behind the mountains. Absolutely spectacular. I took about 15 photos, trying to capture the colors. The wispy clouds above turned golden, while the beam of light stayed an stunning shade of red-orange-pink that I was unable to replicate. This phenomenon, as I later learned, is in fact called a sun pillar.
