Journey Through the Dark Art Print

$7.00

This was one of my first exploratory pieces with gouache. Before this, I had been exclusively using acrylic paint, because that’s what I had around the house. I had been having a hard time with how shiny acrylic paint dries, and I was so happy to try gouache, which dries matte. This was also one of my first successful pieces that wasn’t directly from a photo reference. To me, this piece invokes the beginning of a difficult journey through the night. The figure carries a lantern to help light their way, but not everything is visible yet.

Specs:

5x7 print with ⅛” border on all sides.

Sold with a stiff backing and clear plastic sleeve to protect the print.

Printed on high quality Arctic Polar Satin paper.

Also available as a 5x7 folded card.

Original is gouache on 140lb watercolor paper, painted in June 2020.
