Shadowed Arch Art Print
This is a companion piece to Winter Sun, a series that I created for my senior drawing class in college. At the time, I was just figuring out my fascination with light and shadow. It has since transformed into a fascination of light and color, but in this beginning stage I searched for places and photos I had taken that had an interesting relationship with light and dark. This old bridge is near my childhood home, and was built in 1925. It is only open for pedestrians now, and spans a “river” that is more of a seasonal stream. The contrast between light and dark visible in the negative space created by the bridge design was so appealing to me that I had to draw it.
Specs:
5x7 print with ⅛” border on all sides.
Sold with a stiff backing and clear plastic sleeve to protect the print.
Printed on high quality Arctic Polar Satin paper.
